This Is IT

Hello ladies and gents. It's now the time of the week for you favorite con artist to trick you into thinking he knows what he's talking about. You guessed it. It's ME! Oh how silly you all are. Well here we go. In the words of the great Eric Idle,

New Bands

"Ladies and gentlemen, someone whom I've always personally admired, perhaps more deeply, more strongly, more abjectly than ever before. A man, well more than a man, a god , a great god, whose personality is so totally and utterly wonderful my feeble words of welcome sound wretchedly and pathetically inadequate. Someone whose boots I would gladly lick clean until holes wore through my tongue, a man who is so totally and utterly wonderful, that I would rather be sealed in a pit of my own filth, than dare tread on the same stage with him. Ladies and gentlemen, the incomparably superior human being", Jack White. Along with Alison Mosshart, Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita they are The Dead Weather.

While this band has been around for awhile; I have just recently stumbled upon their greatness. With a video for their single "Treat Me Like Your Mother" directed by one of the best in the biz Johnathon Glazer, TDW has become one of my favorite bands. Readers please take the time to watch this video you will be impressed with its intensity and how ties so well with what you're hearing.
Must Hear Song: I Cut Like a Buffalo

A relatively new band, Phantogram has taken over my internet radio waves. This duo has some mad talent and you gotta respect that. Check out their first attempt Eyelid Movies that was released just last week; which I thought really pulled heavily from the fathers of electronic music Depeche Mode. These guys have impressed me and I hope some of you guys can feel these sick beats.
Must Hear Song: When I'm Small

Familiar Faces:

Anyone else who is tired of hearing Kesha, Justin Bieber, and Nickleback on the radio should be prepared to keep hearing these artists until they are run into the ground, but for those optimistic few lets check out some Familiar Faces.

Coheed and Cambria released a new single "The Broken" just last week for the new album "Year of the Black Rainbow" set to release on April 13 of this year. Coca has always had a catchy hook for their listeners. If that is what you're looking for you won't find it in this song. A straight shooting hard rocking tune that all the headbangers can enjoy. I absolutely love the intensity in this song, and it is something this band has missed on with their previous work. Lets hope this album continues like that.

My boy TobyMac owns 3 of the top ten christian songs of the week and has a new album released that I can't stop listening to. "Tonight" is one of Toby's most diverse albums of his career. I really love how in each song there is something new. This album is certainly not boring, and to all the hip hop fans something to listen to.
